Duke Cancer Center Pharmacy Volunteers
The Duke Cancer Center Pharmacy is seeking volunteers for a minimum of 4 hours per week, from 1 pm - 5 pm on Monday - Fridays. The volunteer will serve adult customers who are at the pharmacy for medication prescription pick up services. Specifically, the volunteer will help with the cash register and packaging of items that need to be shipped. Additionally, the volunteer may be needed to place calls to patients to obtain non-clinical information which may be helpful for completing prescription requests. If accepted to the program, volunteer candidates will be required to complete all hospital volunteer application processes to include background screening, health screen (including current flu shot) and hospital orientation.

Duke Cancer Patient Support Program

Duke Cancer Patient Support Program volunteers play a critical role in the day-to-day activities at the Duke Cancer Center. Volunteers provide conversation and comfort, offer refreshments and help patients locate areas and resources in the clinics and hospital.

This program is looking for community volunteers and Duke students.
