Duke Regional Hospital Auxiliary

As the situation with COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues to rapidly evolve, Duke University Health System is working diligently to monitor developments and implement guidelines to prevent the spread of infection. Our top priority is to keep patients, visitors, team members, and the community at large safe. At this time, all hospital volunteer programs are suspended until further notice. We will keep you updated about the status of our volunteer program, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our hospitals in this important capacity as soon as possible.

Our mission is to assist in the delivery of comprehensive health care to the community by providing the best possible services to meet the needs and expectations of patients, staff and the community, to provide personal growth and development opportunities for volunteers of all cultures, and to support the corporation in fulfilling its goals and objectives.

Our Purpose

We raise funds to support Duke Regional Hospital programs and services. Volunteers are welcome to participate by assisting with fundraising, participating in Auxiliary committees, or serving on the governing board.

Leadership Council and Committees

Duke Regional Hospital’s Auxiliary is led by a Leadership Council that manages the business and affairs of the Auxiliary. It consists of a president, vice president, past president, secretary, treasurer, Giftique manager, fundraising chair and two at-large-members.

The Auxiliary raises funds through:

  • The Giftique, the daily fundraiser operated by the Auxiliary and staffed by volunteers. Contact Volunteer Services to assist with staffing the shop. Training is provided.
  • Fundraising sales, held throughout the year. One and two-day sales by area vendors take place at Duke Regional. A percentage goes to the Auxiliary. Contact Volunteer Services to participate.
