Maintaining a healthy weight is made easier with strategies, planning, and support. Our team of dietitians, exercise physiologists, and health coaches provide personal support to ensure you achieve short-term and long-term success with weight loss and weight management. Our programs include individual and group support.

This eight-week program features weekly interactive nutrition, exercise, and behavioral change classes, weekly group exercise sessions, and individualized nutrition and exercise plans. Our experts work with you to eliminate the frustration, confusion, and deprivation that often accompany weight loss attempts. We offer in-person workouts for people who want to travel to the Duke Health & Fitness Center as well as virtual sessions over Zoom for all.
Daytime sessions: 1:15 to 2:15 pm Wednesdays (exercise classes) and Fridays (interactive lectures)
Evening sessions: 5:30 to 6:30 pm Tuesdays (exercise classes) and Thursdays (interactive lectures)
Getting on Track program graduates can continue to receive guidance as part of our Staying on Track program.
Getting on Track costs $333 for members and Duke employees and $370 for non-members.
A special eight-week membership to the Duke Health & Fitness Center is available for $136.
You can also join the center for any length of time while enrolled in Getting on Track and save 50% on the initiation fee.

Staying on Track Support Group
Getting on Track graduates can participate in our various support group options. This includes separate groups focused on functional movement and nutrition. Both groups provide accountability and motivation to reach your goals. Sessions are available only to Getting on Track graduates.
Weight Loss Consultations
These one-hour consultations are available by appointment and provide you with expertise from a registered, licensed dietitian and/or an exercise physiologist.
Nutrition consultations may be covered by your insurance -- contact Jaunetta Tapp at 660-6656 to find out if your visit is eligible. If a consultation isn't covered, out-of-pocket options are available. We also offer an in-person exercise consultation as part of our personal training program. It is not covered by insurance. It costs $62 for members and $73 for non-members.
If you want a deeper understanding of your health, you can also sign up for a body composition analysis, which can determine how your body’s muscle, fat, and water contributes to weight gain or weight loss and your ability to maintain good health.
