Welcome
Our standard and clinical memberships offer different ways to use our facility. We offer monthly rates to fit your lifestyle and budget. You must be at least 16 years old to join.

Standard and Clinical Memberships
We offer two types of membership -- standard and clinical. You can choose either whether you're joining as an individual or a family.

- Individual access is $68 per month.
- Standard membership does not include personal training or medical support for a health concern.
Clinical Membership
Clinical membership is recommended for people with heart, lung, and other chronic conditions affected by exercise. In addition to standard membership benefits, it allows you to work with an exercise physiologist to help you reach health-related goals.
- Individual access is $78 per month.
- Receive blood pressure readings, heart rate checks, oxygen levels, and other vital measurements before, during, and after exercise, as needed.
- The information will be added to your My Duke Health (previously Duke MyChart) profile if you're a Duke patient.

Membership Financial Assistance
Duke Health & Fitness Center is dedicated to supporting the well-being of our community through exercise and wellness-based services. Our purpose is to inspire people to live their best life by promoting whole-person health and well-being in a clean, safe, and service-driven environment, supported by caring professionals. One way we fulfill this mission is by assisting individuals who need help paying for full membership for our standard or clinical options.
Membership financial assistance covers 50% of the annual membership rate for six months for individuals who qualify with an annual household income of less than or equal to 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Applications are available at the Membership Services desk or use this link to access the form. Completed forms can be dropped off at the Member Services desk or emailed to DukeHealthandFitnessCenter@duke.edu. It will take 4-6 weeks to process your application.
Learn to Use Our Equipment
Before starting your exercise routine with us, new members are encouraged to participate in a complimentary orientation to become familiar with our cardiovascular and strength machines. You'll learn how to safely set up equipment, find the right weight or resistance for you, and how to progress as you get stronger. These small group sessions are led by a staff exercise physiologist and tailored to your goals.
