In-Person and Virtual Consultations
Our registered dietitian nutritionists offer individual consultations to develop detailed plans based on your needs and goals. You can meet in person or virtually for a consultation. Many health insurance plans cover nutrition consultations. If yours does not, out-of-pocket options are available.
Call our nutrition office at 919-660-6656 or email Jaunetta Tapp at jaunetta.tapp@duke.edu to schedule a consultation.
Testing Your Metabolism
For an additional fee, an optional test can determine your resting metabolic rate using a calorimeter. This gives your dietitian nutritionist an accurate reading of your metabolism. They use it to create your personalized nutritional plan.
The resting metabolic rate test costs $70 for members and $85 for non-members. To learn more about the test or to schedule an appointment, call our nutrition office at 919-660-6656 or Jaunetta Tapp at jaunetta.tapp@duke.edu to schedule a consultation.
