In addition to caring for pregnant women with medical conditions, our perinatologists manage high-risk pregnancies in women carrying multiples (twins, triplets, and more), as well as women with placenta previa or placental implantation defects, conditions that involve abnormal placement or attachment of the placenta that can lead to significant complications.
This program replaces routine individual visits with group visits of eight to 12 pregnant women who are due at about the same time. The two-hour visits include a one-on-one assessment with the provider, group sharing, and discussions.
