Visiting Hours

Visitation hours are from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm daily. Please review our visitor guidelines.

Lounge areas for visitors are located throughout the hospital. Specific waiting areas are designated for families of patients in the Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, Outpatient Services, Radiation Oncology, and Surgery. Our patient guide has a complete list of waiting areas on pages 7 and 8.

If your friend or loved one is a patient at Duke Regional Hospital, you can get in touch or send well wishes.

To call a patient room, dial 919-470- followed by the patient’s four-digit room number. If you do not know the patient's room number, call 919-470-4277 to reach our Information Desk.

You do not need a room number to send mail to a patient. Use this mailing address:

All patient mail will be returned to sender after patient discharge. Outgoing mail can be deposited at the mail center located on the first floor or behind the information desk in the main lobby, next to the newspaper racks.

If you want to send flowers, instruct the florist to deliver the flowers to the hospital’s main address. The flowers will be delivered to the patient’s room by our staff.

You may also send a free card to a patient at Duke Regional Hospital.
