What is a specialty pharmacy?

Who can use the Duke Specialty Pharmacy?
We serve patients who need specialty medications, often for chronic conditions like cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, or rare genetic disorders. If your healthcare provider prescribes a specialty medication, we’re here to assist.
Who will I work with?
You will work with a team of highly trained pharmacists, technicians, and other care team members who collaborate on the many aspects of patient care and disease management. We work closely with your health care providers to offer comprehensive patient education, ensure appropriate medication use, including symptom management, and help patients connect with resources to provide financial assistance with out-of-pocket costs.
Do you ship medications?
