Visitors of Admitted Patients
Permitted visitors that accompany patients to the main Duke Raleigh Hospital building, 3400 Wake Forest Road, will be issued a badge. Visitors should have their ID available to expedite this process. Learn More about updated visitor restrictions that took effect on June 24.
Visitors of Surgical and Procedural Patients
Visitors accompanying patients undergoing surgery or procedures at Duke Raleigh Hospital Monday to Friday are invited to wait for their loved one in our designated waiting area on the first floor of Medical Office Building 9. Visitors should park your vehicle in the P1 or P2 Parking Garage and catch our shuttle from the front entrance of the main hospital to Medical Office Building 9. The shuttle will run 5:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday between the waiting area and the front of the hospital. If you need the shuttle after 4:30 pm, please call 919-954-3164.
Visitors will be screened, required to wear a mask and continue physical distancing in the Medical Office Building 9 waiting area. A member of our care team will contact you regarding discharge instructions. If you have questions, please see the Duke Raleigh Hospital team member stationed in the Medical Office Building 9 waiting area.
Visitors accompanying patients undergoing surgery or procedures at Duke Raleigh Hospital on Saturday and Sunday are invited to wait for their loved one in our designated waiting area within Same Day Surgery in our main hospital building. Visitors will be screened, required to wear a mask and continue physical distancing in the waiting area. Visitors should park your vehicle in the P1 or P2 Parking Garage.

Family members and friends can also call Duke Raleigh Hospital's Gilded Lily gift shop at 919-954-3115 to purchase a flower arrangement that will be delivered to the patient's room. Flowers and mail will be forwarded to the patient's home address upon discharge.
Please note that ICU patients may not receive flowers, balloons, or gift baskets. Cards, however, are permitted and encouraged.
The Duke Raleigh Hospital Public Safety Department provides a safe and secure environment for all who visit our campus. We are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can be reached by calling the public safety office at 919-954-3911.
Officers patrol the campus, buildings, and surrounding areas, and provide direction and assistance for emergency response and fire safety at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Our department also maintains a lost and found department.
