Duke Cancer Center Brain Tumor Clinic

Open
Type:Duke University Hospital Outpatient Department
Hospital-based clinics are outpatient departments of an individual Duke hospital and have additional facility charges. Some insurance companies process bills with a deductible and coinsurance rather than as a co-pay as for an office visit. This may impact the amount of the bill you are responsible for after payment from your insurance plan. Check with your insurance company before your visit to determine what your responsibility will be.

The Duke Cancer Center Brain Tumor Clinic is part of the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, an institute leading the way in comprehensive care that combines research breakthroughs, clinical trials, and the newest therapies for brain cancer. Our clinic is staffed by specialists who provide consultations for people suspected of or diagnosed with metastatic cancer that has spread to the brain or spine. People with known or suspected cancer can be seen by one of our cancer specialists within 72 hours.

Brain Tumor Care in One Convenient Location

Our clinic includes a team that specializes in your type of cancer. During your visits, you may see a medical oncologist, surgical oncologist, radiation oncologist, interventional radiologist, imaging specialist, specialized nurses, nutritionist, social worker, and other team members involved in your overall care.

Our nurse navigator and patient coordinators will assist you in coordinating all aspects of your care and appointments. They can arrange for you to undergo additional tests and treatments in other clinics at the same location.

Your team meets regularly to discuss your case. They may recommend new treatment options or suggest you consider participation in clinical trials for new therapies that are not yet widely available. Receiving your care from a team of experienced specialists ensures you receive the best possible outcome.

We provide a wide range of support services to you during and after your treatment. It’s part of our commitment to treating your whole person, not just your cancer.
