Duke Sports Injury & Orthopaedic Urgent Care at Sports Science Institute, convenient to Durham and Duke University, is dedicated to providing fast treatment for sprains, strains, fractures and other orthopedic injuries. Orthopaedic urgent care can be a better, more cost-effective option than emergency room care (unless your injury is life-threatening or severe) because you avoid long waits and potential exposure to sick people.

Injuries can happen at any time. Our orthopedic doctors are available during the week until 8:30 pm and on Saturday and Sunday to treat your injury. No appointment is needed, same day service is available, and walk-ins are welcome.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Duke Sports Injury & Orthopaedic Urgent Care at Sports Science Institute is located in the Wallace building on the Center for Living campus in Durham. Once you enter the Center for Living campus from Erwin Road, drive up the hill about 1/4 mile. The Wallace building is the second building on the left. Please drop patients off at the front of the building.
Note: Please be sure to include "Duke Center for Living" in your GPS as some older GPS systems do not recognize the address and may reroute you to an incorrect location.
