Duke Health Surgery Mooresville
Our general surgeons and nurse practitioners provide comprehensive surgical consultations, evaluations, and follow‑up care for a wide range of conditions, including hernias, gallbladder disease, vein procedures, weight loss, and several types of cancer. Surgical procedures are performed at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital. Consultations and post‑surgical follow‑up visits take place at this clinic. Select in‑office procedures, such as excisions, can also be performed on site.

During your initial consultation, your surgeon will conduct a thorough evaluation of your condition to determine if surgery is the next step in your treatment plan.
Our surgeons perform minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery, through small incisions. This approach, which can minimize your pain and help you recover faster, will be recommended when appropriate for you and your condition. We strive to ensure you have the best outcome possible.
We perform surgery for the following conditions:
- Abdominal hernia, inguinal hernia, and umbilical hernia
- Appendectomy
- Breast cancer
- Breast disease, including benign disease and cancer.
- Surgeries include excisional and lymph node biopsies, lymph node removal, lumpectomy, and mastectomy
- Colon and intestinal diseases, including colon cancer and rectal cancer
- Endocrine disorders, including thyroid disease and thyroid cancer, parathyroid disorders, and adrenal gland disorders and carcinoid tumors
- Gallbladder disease
- Hemorrhoids, including in-office banding, injections and outpatient stapled hemorrhoidectomy
- Hiatal hernia and GERD (reflux disease)
- Stomach cancer
- Removal of skin cancers, including basal and squamous cells, and soft tissue growths such as cysts, neoplasms and lesion
- Varicose veins
Weight Loss Surgery
We offer a range of weight loss surgery options to people who cannot achieve their weight loss goals through diet, exercise or medications.
