My research focuses on inflammatory bowel disease. I have participated in clinical trials evaluating medications with novel mechanisms of action, with the goal of expanding treatment options and helping patients with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease achieve remission. I have also been involved in studies examining the impact of diet and nutrition on inflammatory bowel disease.
Some of the most meaningful experiences during my medical training came from spending time talking with patients and learning about their lives, which helped me build strong therapeutic relationships.

About Me
I am a fellowship-trained, board-certified gastroenterologist and assistant professor of medicine. Within the Division of Gastroenterology, I specialize in inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Some of the most meaningful experiences during my medical training came from spending time talking with patients and learning about their lives, which helped me build strong therapeutic relationships. When treating lifelong conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, I believe these connections are essential to developing thoughtful, patient-centered care plans. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my Belgian Tervuren, biking, exploring local restaurants and traveling abroad.
