Our Approach
Our licensed dietitians take a whole-person approach to your health, while keeping the food you eat at the center of your care. Often, health concerns can be traced to a less-than-ideal diet, or even a sensitivity to a certain type of food. Our personalized recommendations may include changes in food selection and/or preparation, strategies for developing menus, nutritional supplements, or techniques to help you become more aware of your eating habits.
We may also suggest you incorporate exercise, stress reduction, breath awareness exercises and yoga into your overall care. In some cases, we may recommend condition-specific supplemental nutrients and herbs to provide additional health benefits. Everything we do will complement and support positive food choices.
How It Works
During your initial consultation, your dietitian will review your medical history and ask about your concerns and goals. We use the information to help you identify initial action steps for change. During follow-up appointments, your dietitian will identify interconnections between food, movement, rest, and stress in your life, and recommend how you can adapt positive approaches to meet your nutritional needs.
Tests
You may undergo blood work and other tests to identify health concerns that may impact your nutrition and well-being. For example, we may recommend a test to identify foods to which you may be sensitive, then design a personalized food elimination diet aimed at reducing symptoms you may be experiencing. Everything we do is personalized to help you adopt favorable behavior and food choices.
