About Me
I am a radiation oncologist, and I primarily focus on radiation treatments for brain tumors and other central nervous system conditions. My interest in brain tumor research began during my MD/PhD research training at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke. I am proud to be at Duke Health now to provide radiation oncology care for patients with brain tumors and other central nervous system conditions.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.

Clinical Focus and Research
My hope is that my research will lead to better ways to care for patients with brain tumors and other types of cancer. I also look to my patients to help me focus my research on the most important challenges in the clinic. My research focuses on using genomics to guide the development of new treatments for brain tumors and on finding ways to improve radiation treatments for brain tumors.
