Jennifer Lyu, PA-C, MHS

I am a physician assistant at Duke Orthopaedics specializing in hand and upper-extremity care. Growing up as a swimmer and runner, I developed an interest in orthopaedics at a young age. I became fascinated by how the musculoskeletal system works and how the right care can help people stay active and healthy. I treat a wide range of conditions, including fractures, sports injuries, nerve issues, and arthritis. I understand how even small injuries to the hand and upper extremity can significantly impact daily life—how someone works, cares for their family, or enjoys favorite activities. My approach puts patients at the center of every decision. I am committed to creating a care experience grounded in clear communication, respect, and understanding. I want patients to feel informed, supported, and empowered to make decisions that fit their lives and goals. Helping my patients regain function and confidence to do what they love is what makes this work so meaningful to me. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring farmers markets and coffee shops, running, and spending quality time with friends and family.
