WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I first came to nursing with a background in communications and teaching. I knew shortly after beginning my career in nursing that I would continue my education toward becoming an advanced practice provider. More specifically, I was drawn toward oncology practice. My husband and I moved to the Triangle in 2014 from rural Western North Carolina where we were both born and raised. I love living and working here. In my time away from work, I enjoy traveling with my husband, particularly when our travels incorporate boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, diving, or snow skiing. I also enjoy gardening, reading, writing, and time with friends. I love to run, though I have been less committed since moving to a high traffic area. Above all, I treasure leisure time spent with my family, especially my adult children.

Clinical Focus and Research
MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

My primary clinical interests lie in the prevention and optimal management of treatment-related side effects. I am particularly interested in treatment-related neuropathies. I am committed to research opportunities investigating and developing effective preventative and protective strategies and/or protocols. Likewise, I closely follow research efforts aimed at uncovering more efficacious treatment options that are presently available with regards to medication-mediated neuropathy.
