Virtual Survivor Month Specifics

Attendance is free. However, we require all participants to register so we can provide you with a link to join.

Events will take place on Zoom. You can access Zoom through your computer or mobile device. After registering, you will receive a link to each session you select. Links will be sent one week before the events.

Each attendee is encouraged to register for the free event.

You can use any web browser (such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox). However, we recommend Google Chrome for the best experience.

You will have the best experience on a desktop computer or laptop computer. However, you can use a mobile device such as a tablet or mobile phone as well. 

Yes.

For the best computer experience, download Zoom to your desktop, or the app to your device. The software and app are free.

If you prefer, you can join the conference from your web browser without downloading Zoom. Use the meeting invite link sent to your email. Click the join link to join the meeting. If a pop-up window prompts you to open or install the Zoom desktop client, click cancel.

Virtual Event Material Questions

The Cancer Survivorship Panel Discussion will be the only virtual session to be recorded. The recording will be available on this site after the event.

In-Person and Virtual Offerings Throughout June at Duke Cancer Centers

Support groups, mindfulness activities, educational offerings, and additional resources for all Duke Cancer Institute patients and their loved ones.

In-Person Event Specifics

Visitors attending Survivorship Month at Duke Cancer Center will park in the Trent Drive Garage. The garage charges $2 per hour or $8 per day.

You will receive a pass for free parking with your registration for support groups, tai chi, yoga, and sound healing.

Duke Cancer Center Raleigh, the Duke Sports Sciences Institute, and Duke Women’s Cancer Care Raleigh offer free parking.

Guide dogs registered in North Carolina are welcome. We cannot host emotional support animals.

A meal or light snacks will be provided at all in-person events that require registration.

Masking is strongly recommended, but not required. Duke Health-issued ear loop masks are available at Cancer Center locations.
