Survivorship Day 2023: Frequently Asked Questions

Virtual Survivor Day Specifics

The online-only portion of Survivorship Day will be held on Zoom on Wednesday, June 7 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, you will be able to access the recorded panel presentations through May 2024.

Attendance is free. However, we require all participants to register so we can provide you with a link to join.

The event will take place on Zoom. You can access Zoom through your computer or mobile device. After registering, you will receive a link to each session you select. Links will be sent one week prior to the event.

Links will be sent to registrants one week before, and the day before the event. Please check your spam folder, if you can not find it, email cancersupport@duke.edu.

You can use any web browser (such as Google Chrome, Safari, or Firefox). However, we recommend Google Chrome for the best experience.

You will have the best experience on a desktop computer or laptop computer. However, you can use a mobile device such as a tablet or mobile phone as well. 

Yes.

For the best computer experience, download Zoom to your desktop, or the app to your device. The software and app are free.

If you prefer, you can join the conference from your web browser without downloading Zoom. Use the meeting invite link sent to your email. Click the join link to join the meeting. If a pop-up window prompts you to open or install the Zoom desktop client, click cancel.

In-Person Survivorship Day at Duke Cancer Centers

Workshops, rejuvenation activities, and demonstrations will take place at Duke Cancer Centers in Durham and Raleigh. In-person registration is free and encouraged.

There is no cost. The in-person and virtual events are free.

Visitors attending Survivorship Day at Duke Cancer Center will use the Trent Drive Garage. This garage charges $2 per hour or $8 per day.

Duke Cancer Center North Durham, Duke Cancer Center Raleigh, and Duke Women’s Cancer Care Raleigh offer free parking.

Guide dogs registered in North Carolina are welcome. We cannot host emotional support animals.

Some exhibitors will offer light snacks at their tables.

Masks are required in Duke patient and clinical settings.
