Oculoplastic Surgeons in Raleigh

You should see an oculoplastic surgeon if you have a concern related to the delicate structure around your eye. Oculoplastic surgeons are trained in ophthalmology and plastic surgery. They specialize in procedures performed on the areas around the eye including your eyelids, tear ducts, and eye socket.

Functional and Cosmetic Eye Procedures
People are referred to oculoplastic surgeons for reconstructive and cosmetic eye surgery following cancer or trauma and for surgery for eye conditions such as eye socket and tear duct diseases, benign eyelid tumors, tearing system issues, and drooping or sagging eyelids that can affect vision.

We perform these and other surgical procedures:

  • Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin from drooping or sagging eyelids.
  • Lower blepharoplasty removes fat pads under the eyes.
  • Orbital surgery addresses medical problems such as tumors affecting the bony structure around your eye.
  • Lacrimal surgery repairs obstructed tear ducts and addresses issues with tear production.

Non-surgical procedures include:

  • Facial fillers and injections to replace lost facial volume and smooth wrinkles
  • Deep chemical peels to treat some types of acne and hyperpigmentation
  • Laser resurfacing with CO2 and erbium lasers to stimulate collagen growth and improve skin tone and texture. CO2 laser resurfacing takes place in the operating room. The erbium laser is available in the clinic.

Oculoplastic Consultation and Evaluation
You’ll meet with our doctors for a consultation, a review of your medical history, and an extensive exam. Medically necessary procedures may be covered by insurance. Cosmetic procedures are not.

Cosmetic Consultations
Cosmetic consultations with our providers are $100, which is due at check in. We do not offer payment plans on cosmetic procedures.
