Insurance and Payments
Please bring one form of identification, such as a driver’s license, insurance cards, and authorization forms. Although insurance does not cover skin care treatments and elective surgery, we can process claims for clinic visits and some procedures with your insurance carriers. At the time of your visit, you may be asked to pay amounts not covered by your insurance, such as consultation fees, co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance. If you have multiple appointments, your insurance company may require multiple co-payments.
Duke participates with most insurance companies, Medicare, and North Carolina Medicaid. Before your first appointment, contact your employer or insurance company to confirm whether your coverage includes Duke.
Working with You
Duke is committed to providing care with dignity and respect. If you have questions or cannot pay your bill in full, please tell us and let us help. Our financial coordinators can help you fill out applications for monthly payment plans and discuss other payment options.
If you have questions about your bill or would like to speak with someone about financial assistance, contact the Duke Health Customer Service Center at 800-782-6945 or 919-620-4555. If you have any questions about your co-payments, deductibles, or co-insurance requirements, please call your insurance company.
Duke MyChart is a secure, electronic portal that you can use to pay your bill, view your test and lab results, schedule appointments, perform video visits, message your health care team, and request prescription refills.
