About Me
I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in providing treatment for high-risk youth and their families, with a particular focus on the treatment of self-injurious thoughts and behaviors and substance use. I also have an interest in neuropsychological evaluation with youth experiencing acute or chronic illness. In my approach to therapy, I use evidence-based approaches, employing strategies and skills from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), as well as interpersonal strategies from family systems frameworks. I take a collaborative approach to treatment and partner with youth and their families to meet their individual goals and help improve their lives in whichever ways they find important and meaningful.

Clinical Focus and Research
My research interests involve investigating and intervening on high-risk behaviors among adolescents and young adults, including self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs) and alcohol/substance use and misuse. Specifically, I am interested in examining the relationships between interpersonal, neurocognitive, and psychological mechanisms underlying the development and maintenance of SITBs and co-occurring high-risk behaviors, so as to better target shared mechanisms and underlying contributors for engagement in these behaviors among youth.
