About Me
Throughout my medical career, I have remained dedicated to improving my patients' quality of life. As a specialist in adult cervical and spinal deformity surgery, I understand the significant impact our interventions have on individuals suffering from debilitating pain and physical and mental health challenges. Spinal deformity surgery merges the complexities of spinal biomechanics with the needs of an aging population. My research focuses on spinal alignment, biomechanics, innovative surgical techniques, and health economics to ensure value-based care that enhances patient outcomes.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.

Dr. Passias and staff were very professional and courteous to me. It meant a lot .
I would not have anything done to my back/spine by anyone except Dr. Passias. He is an expert in his field.
Dr. Passias is remarkably skilled and professional and extremely caring. While I was hospitalized after surgery he checked on me every day and that meant a lot.
I trust Dr. Passias implicitly.
I have received excellent care, thank you very much,
I am looking forward to my next visit. I know I am in good hands and I will be very well taken care of by Dr. Passias!!
My experience with dr Passias has been extremely good. He has taken considerable time with me and addressed my health issues.
Dr. Passias was very understanding and very clear in his explanations of what needed to be done. This was a second opinion on surgery, and I left reassured that this was needed.
