I had the opportunity to work on three Duke research studies involving acupuncture for pain conditions including acute musculoskeletal pain in the Emergency Department, chronic pain in rural populations, and post-surgical pain after spinal surgery.

About Me
After experiencing the healing benefits of acupuncture, I decided to become an acupuncturist to help patients feel better, get out of pain, and overall improve their quality of life. Most new patients come to get acupuncture for a pain condition like back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Most patients continue to come for acupuncture because their pain gets better and they notice other improvements such as less stress, better sleep, and more energy. The first appointment with me includes a thorough intake so I can safely and effectively design a treatment plan for you. I use acupuncture, and sometimes other therapies such as gua sha, cupping, and e-stim. You might be surprised to hear that lots of patients say acupuncture is very relaxing and they are sometimes able to take a nap during their treatment.
