About Me
It's wonderful, in OB-GYN, the way we get to be part of important moments in patients' lives and to develop long-term relationships with them. From helping young women transition into adulthood to delivering their babies to being there for their more painful and vulnerable moments, it’s a privilege to be a part of those personal times in their lives. Because every woman is different, I have a very individualized approach when I meet with patients. It’s important for me to listen to what their health care needs and wants are. At Duke, we have cutting-edge technology, specialists, and so many resources available. If I have a patient that I need help with, either within the Ob-Gyn department or with another specialty, I have people that I can easily ask across the system.

The provider was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. She was honest if she could not answer a question by referring me to my primary doctor.
My provider listened. She listened to my concerns, read the notes of my primary to understand why I was there and what I needed help with and she executed.
Dr. Schenkman was wonderful and helped me with my problems and definitely went above and beyond with her care of me that day!
