About Me

After completing my residency and fellowship I was a general internist at Duke University Medical Center, where I cared for patients and their families, and pursued my research interests in developing and implementing health care strategies that improve the efficiency, quality and outcomes of care. I also spent a number of years in the pharmaceutical industry, predominantly as vice president of global health outcomes, where I focused on helping patients around the world achieve access to medicines. Whilst I very much enjoy creating health care solutions on the larger scale, what matters most to me as a doctor is developing meaningful relationships with my patients and helping them achieve the best outcomes possible, which is why I’ve returned to patient care to focus on that aspect of medicine. In addition to my passion for health care, I am the proud mom of three teenage daughters whom I adore, and very much enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling with my husband.
