If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.

WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I'm originally from West Virginia, but I trained at Duke University and am happy to call Durham home. My mother is a nurse, and my fascination with the meaningful work she does led me to where I am today. I spend most of my week providing care to people with a wide variety of infectious diseases — everything from infections of the bones and joints to HIV. I also get to practice preventative medicine through my work in the Duke PrEP Clinic for HIV Prevention. The rest of my time is spent teaching in the Medical School. Outside of the world of medicine, you’ll most likely find me on the tennis court, on a hiking trail, or cheering on my favorite sports teams: the Pittsburgh Steelers, WVU Mountaineers, and (of course) the Duke Blue Devils!
