WHERE I PROVIDE CARE
Profile
ABOUT ME

I care for patients with a variety of orthopaedic conditions, with an emphasis on the knee, hip, and shoulder. I encourage patients to be active partners in their recovery. Together we discuss all available treatment options and work to formulate a treatment plan that is best for each individual, helping them get back to the activities they love. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I enjoy sharing my passion for orthopaedics with future physician assistants. Each fall I serve as an instructor for orthopaedic exam skills at the Duke University Physician Assistant Program. Prior to becoming a PA, I was a certified athletic trainer. I first worked with athletes at the University of Washington and then had the opportunity to complete a year long athletic training fellowship with the U.S. Olympic Committee. Following the fellowship I worked with the U.S. Luge Association and USA Bobsled and Skeleton, providing sports medicine services to development and Olympic level athletes. I continue to be involved with USA Bobsled and Skeleton as a volunteer medical provider. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, exploring all that the triangle has to offer.
