I am engaged in clinical research that focuses on the treatment of leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes/neoplasms, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. I have a particular interest in understanding how we can better prevent the relapse of leukemia after it has been put into remission. This research takes the form of clinical trials in which new medications or combinations of medications are provided to patients, and their effects are studied. It also takes the form of studies that investigate the effect of certain disease characteristics or treatments to understand which populations of patients have the most room to benefit from future clinical trials.

About Me
I am a blood cancer specialist focused on the care of patients with leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes/neoplasms, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and other rare blood cancers. As patients face one of these life-threatening diseases, I aim to be an active listener and one who considers patients' symptoms and goals as we come up with a treatment plan. I work hard to be responsive, communicate well, provide education, and advocate for my patients. I am engaged in clinical research and as a result, aware of new developments that affect the diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients with blood cancers and also have access to clinical trials that allow qualifying patients to receive new, cutting-edge medications for their conditions.
