About Me

I care for older adults with memory concerns, dementia, and other complex conditions that affect health, function, and independence as we age. I enjoy partnering with patients and their families to develop care plans that reflect both the best available evidence and what matters most to each individual. My clinical interests include healthy aging, dementia care, mobility, falls prevention, and helping older adults maintain their independence and quality of life.

I chose geriatrics because I value the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their loved ones while helping them navigate complex medical decisions with compassion and clarity. I believe the best care starts with listening carefully, understanding each person's goals and priorities, and working together to create a care plan that supports living as independently and meaningfully as possible.

Outside of work, I enjoy trail running, hiking with our dogs, traveling with my wife, and discovering new restaurants, museums, and local arts and cultural events.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My research focuses on promoting healthy aging through physical activity and exercise in older adulthood, understanding the benefits and risks of cannabis use among older adults, and developing innovative models of medical education. I am passionate about translating research into practical, evidence-based approaches that improve care for older adults and prepare the next generation of physicians.
