My research interests center on biomechanics, emerging technologies, and surgical education in orthopaedic trauma. My background in biomedical engineering guides my approach to defining native anatomy and understanding the biomechanics of fracture fixation, with the goal of improving anatomic reconstruction following injury. My work also explores innovative technologies to improve fracture care and recovery. I am passionate about advancing orthopaedic education through surgical training and technical skill development.

About Me
I am an orthopaedic trauma surgeon specializing in the treatment of complex periarticular fractures, polytrauma, and pelvic & acetabular fractures. I grew up loving puzzles and putting things back together. While studying biomedical engineering in college, I developed an appreciation for biomechanics and anatomy. Being an orthopaedic trauma surgeon allows me to combine these passions while helping patients recover from unexpected injuries and return to the activities that are important to them. I believe that excellent orthopaedic trauma care combines thoughtful preoperative planning, meticulous surgical technique, and a collaborative approach to recovery. It is a privilege to work with the Duke Health team to care for patients during a challenging time in their lives and help them restore their function.
