Gregory Pereira, MD

I am an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in conditions of the hand, wrist, and elbow. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the impact of severe hand trauma on my father, who had partial amputations of his fingers and thumb from a crush injury. He inspired me to become a hand surgeon and help people with challenging injuries. In my practice, I treat patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, hand arthritis, ganglion cysts, fractures, and tendon and nerve injuries. I take time to listen, explain options, and build a plan around your goals. I trained at Duke Health and started my practice in Mooresville, where my family and I fell in love with Lake Norman. My extended family now lives here too, so serving this community is deeply personal to me. Outside work, my wife and I love hiking and spending time on the lake with our son and two rescue dogs.
