Profile
ABOUT ME

I am an abdominal transplant and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgeon. My enthusiasm for transplantation stems from the significant impact a successful transplant can have on a patient's health and well-being. My goal is to help patients understand their frequently complex medical situations in a straightforward way.

MY RESEARCH INTERESTS

One of the great challenges in transplantation is the significant shortage of donor organs for patients on the waiting list. My laboratory research focuses on new approaches in organ preservation to help repair and rehabilitate organs prior to transplantation. The primary goals of this work are to increase the number of available organs for transplantation and to improve their performance following transplantation.
