About Me

As a physician at Durham Obstetrics and Gynecology, I am privileged to care for women of all ages, across the spectrum of their reproductive lives. This includes teens just beginning menses, women in their childbearing years, and women experiencing menopause and beyond. I enjoy the variety and scope of care the field of obstetrics and gynecology requires of me. I value the relationships formed with women over time during routine care and annual exams, and I have a special interest in treating and supporting women who have had abnormal Pap smear results. I also love both helping women who want to become pregnant and those who do not, caring for pregnant women before, during and after delivery, finding nonsurgical solutions to problems when possible and performing gynecological surgeries and procedures when needed. I was born in Mexico but have lived most of my life in the United States. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to clearly communicate with patients in whichever language is more comfortable for them.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
