My journey into physical therapy began at home. As a child, my mother was in a severe motor vehicle accident that required a total hip replacement and ankle reconstructive surgery. Watching her recovery firsthand showed me the profound impact an injury can have not only on the individual but on an entire family. That experience shapes how I practice today — I treat every patient like family. I strive to create a welcoming, lighthearted environment where we work together to restore movement, build strength, and achieve meaningful goals. I am deeply committed to clinical excellence and education and serve as a teaching assistant for both the Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and the Duke University Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship. I am also pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership at Appalachian State University to further develop my work as a clinical mentor. As a Level 2 USA Weightlifting Certified Coach (USAW-2), I specialize in applying biomechanics to Olympic weightlifting and advanced strength training to help patients safely return to high-level activity. Outside of work, I enjoy weightlifting, cycling and spending time with family and friends.
