  • Two of only six dentists in North Carolina board-certified in orofacial pain, which includes pain in the jaw, mouth, face, head and neck. They also treat obstructive sleep apnea.
  • An anesthesiologist who specializes in treating osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • A psychologist who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy.
  • A physical therapist.

Orofacial Pain Treatment

We treat orofacial pain conditions that include, but are not limited to:

Obstructive Sleep Apnea Treatment Options

If you suffer from snoring or obstructive sleep apnea, we perform a comprehensive evaluation and offer a variety of treatment options, in coordination with sleep medicine physicians. For example, if you have mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea and have failed or could not tolerate positive airway pressure (PAP) therapy, you may qualify for a custom-fitted oral appliance. These appliances are fitted during an office visit.

Joint and Muscle Pain

Our pain management specialists also treat conditions that include but are not limited to:

  • Arthritis, joint, and muscle injuries
  • Back pain and neck pain
  • Ligament strains
  • Tendonitis and tendinopathy, a breakdown of collagen in the tendons that can result in weakness and pain. This is common in the Achilles tendon, rotator cuff, hip, and knee, but may occur in other parts of the body as well.

Non-Surgical, Non-Opioid Treatments for Chronic Pain

Our clinic offers the full range of non-surgical, non-opioid treatment options to relieve your pain. After a comprehensive evaluation of your condition, our pain management specialists may recommend one or more of the following options, which are performed in the comfort of our offices:

  • Ultrasound and X-ray guided injections (including steroids, trigger point injections, and botulinum toxin - Botox)
  • Peripheral nerve blocks
  • Hands-on physical therapy
  • Psychotherapy counseling for emotional wellness and coping skills

Regenerative Pain Medicine

You may be evaluated to participate in our regenerative pain medicine program. It harnesses the body’s natural healing processes and includes treatments such as autologous conditioned serum injections for arthritis pain.
