Our general surgeon works closely with a physician assistant to conduct surgical consultations, evaluations, and follow-up visits for people who need surgery for hernias, gall bladders and reflux disease (GERD). We also perform surgery for certain types of cancer, and to treat varicose veins. Surgery takes place at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital. Surgical consultations and post-surgical follow-up visits take place at this clinic.

- Abdominal hernia, inguinal hernia, and umbilical hernia
- Colon and intestinal disease, including colon cancer
- Gallbladder disease
- Hiatal hernia and GERD (reflux disease)
- Removal of skin cancers, including basal and squamous cells, and soft tissue growths such as cysts, neoplasms and lesion

Our surgeon and his physician assistant will evaluate your condition and determine if surgery is the next step in your treatment plan. Our surgeon is an expert in performing these procedures robotically, using minimally invasive techniques, which can reduce pain and hasten your recovery. This approach will be recommended when appropriate for you and your condition.
