Duke Electroconvulsive Therapy Clinic
The Duke Electroconvulsive Therapy Clinic offers safe and effective electroconsulsive therapy (ECT) treatment from a team of specialists that include psychiatrists and nurses trained in ECT. Our clinic includes treatment and recovery rooms where you’ll be monitored during your outpatient care. A psychiatrist must refer you to us for ECT treatment.

ECT is effective in treatment-resistant psychiatric and medical conditions. It is a clinically proven, safe process that uses a machine to induce seizures in order to improve brain function for people with certain treatment-resistant disorders.
