Lung, Immunology and Sleep Experts in Durham, NC
Our clinic is staffed by pulmonologists, immunologists, allergists, and sleep experts. We treat adults and children who experience recurrent coughs, shortness of breath, and other respiratory issues. We diagnose, treat, and manage care for the following conditions:
Pulmonary (Lung) Conditions
- Asthma
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Bronchiectasis
- Interstitial lung disease (ILD)
- Occupational lung disease
- Sleep disorders in children and adults
We have a comprehensive lab on site where we can conduct a variety of tests, including pulmonary function testing for children and adults, exercise testing, and exhaled nitric oxide testing to detect asthma. We also perform Methacholine challenge testing to evaluate how well your lungs respond to environmental factors.
Immunology and Immunodeficiency Conditions
We offer testing and treatment for:
- Allergies, including environmental allergies and food allergies
- Primary immune deficiency
Testing includes skin testing for inhalants, pollens, molds, and foods. We also provide drug allergy evaluation and desensitization, and immunotherapy.
Penicillin Testing
Penicillin skin testing can confirm an allergy to penicillin. Many people believe they allergic to penicillin, but are not actually allergic. If you believe you are allergic and avoid penicillin antibiotics, you may wish to contact our clinic to arrange a testing to confirm the presence of this allergy.

Accepted Insurance
Duke Health contracts with most major health insurance carriers and transplant networks, including the ones listed below. Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher.
