About Me

I joined Duke in 2008 after returning to North Carolina from a decade in the Arizona desert. Over my career, I've worked in a variety of settings, including acute rehabilitation, acute care and outpatient, but I have always been particularly interested in working with adults with neurological issues and with the geriatric population. In 2006, I became certified in Neuro IFRAH (Neuro Integrative Functional Rehabilitation and Habilitation), an approach specifically intended for individuals affected with lesions at the level of the brain stem and above. I enjoy learning and have attended many advanced courses to further develop my skills and knowledge as a physical therapist, so that I may assist clients in optimizing their functional mobility. Outside of work, I spend my time with my husband and three kids, many animals and enjoying excursions in the outdoors.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.
