About Me
I treat patients with infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, reproductive developmental disorders, and problematic menopause. In recent years, most of my practice has centered on infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss and my research has centered on endometrial problems, including implantation failure and endometriosis-related infertility. As the Division Chief of Duke Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, I promote a patient-centered, evidence-based, personalized approach to each patient, centered on their individual medical and personal needs.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall provider rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst provider possible and 10 is the best provider possible, what number would you use to rate this provider?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all providers. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
Training and Education
Clinical Focus and Research
My research is centered on disorders involving the uterine lining, known as the endometrium. My laboratory is interested in the cellular and molecular basis of disorders that involve estrogen, progesterone, immune function, endometriosis, and embryo implantation, to include new diagnostic tests and treatments. It is my hope that these and future studies will continue to help women facing recurrent implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, and other reproductive disorders.

Dr Young is very knowledgable and nice and caring
Dr. Young was thorough in reviewing my history, compassionate, and fully addressed each question I had. He treated me with respect and kindness.
Excellent doctor
Would have liked to have met the Dr performing my procedure prior, I had never seen him before and it was a male which is somewhat uncomfortable for me so meeting him prior would have made the experience much better
Dr. Young was kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. A breath of fresh air.
I traveled from Texas to see Dr. Young. His expertise in endometriosis and fertility drew me to him. I have undergone fertility treatment at multiple clinics In Texas and have been frustrated by the lack of diligence and dismissive communication. At Duke I was not given a sales pitch and the clinic did not have the chaotic atmosphere that I've experienced elsewhere. I didn't notice that my appointment was running muc... Show More
