About Me

Communication is essential to one’s quality of life. People suffering from hearing loss can have significant difficulties understanding conversations, which in turn can impact them every day as they attempt to live productive lives. The influence of these circumstances can also be felt by those closest to the person with hearing loss, in particular coworkers, friends and family members. As an audiologist, I take pride in partnering with patients and their families to gain a deep understanding of their hearing needs and accompanying them as we explore the best individualized treatment options to improve their lives. My ultimate goal is to provide the highest possible quality of care using an individualized and compassionate approach, the same kind of care I would expect for my own family. As wife and mother, I find great pleasure in serving not only those in my personal life but also the patients we are able to assist each day.

Clinical Focus and Research

My Research Interests

My research interests are related to developing better ways to assess the individualized needs of patients with hearing loss, evaluating new treatment options to provide the best outcomes, and determining new ways to deliver care. My research focuses on older patients with hearing loss who often times have complex hearing needs. The overarching goal of my research is to provide audiologists with better clinical tools to deliver the best possible care for older patients with hearing loss and their families.
