Shannon Beall, MSW, LCSW

I have worked in the social work field since 2016 and have experience providing outpatient therapy to adults with various mental health concerns. I work in the Duke Behavioral Health Access Clinic, which offers mental health services specifically to Duke employees. I meet with patients for intake assessments and discuss treatment recommendations. I then help patients manage symptoms through brief, short-term therapy, either in person or via telehealth. We also have additional steps in place to enhance patients' privacy, as they work at Duke.

I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), a trauma treatment model for adults with PTSD and trauma-related diagnoses, and I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy into my practice. I treat employees coping with challenges such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, stress, life transitions, and work-life balance. My goal is to provide a welcoming, comfortable, and confidential space for Duke employees, whether in person or virtually, and to work collaboratively with them to achieve their behavioral health goals. Outside of work, I enjoy singing, watching sports (Go Duke!), traveling, and working out.
