About Me
Duke Health offers me a special opportunity to treat diverse pathologies in patients from all over the world. My choice to pursue a career as a hip and knee surgeon centered around the ability to achieve exceptional patient outcomes. There is no greater reward than fostering a close relationship with a patient, working with them to customize a treatment specific to their needs, and helping them return to the highest possible function with the least pain, whether just going for walks or returning to sports. I believe in a systematic approach to hip and knee pain, as well as offering a spectrum of nonoperative and surgical treatment options tailored to each patient. Whether you are younger and have never had surgery or have continued pain after a prior surgery and want a second opinion, I am looking forward to hearing your story and working together to improve your function.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.

As a surgeon, I believe it is important to critically evaluate your patients and utilize the latest evidence and techniques to improve outcomes. Research is just one of the tools that allows me to do that at Duke Health. My primary research interests revolve around how to optimize patient outcomes, approaches to minimize complications, predictive modeling, and health policy.
