I study sexual health and well-being in people navigating cancer, postpartum changes, and other medical conditions. My work focuses on understanding how physical, emotional, and relationship factors shape sexual experiences. I am developing new tools to better measure and address these concerns. My goal is to improve how healthcare teams talk about and support sexual health, so patients feel heard, informed, and able to build a sex life that fits their values.
About Me
I am a postdoctoral associate in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Duke University. I work with cancer patients and survivors of all ages, offering both individual and couples therapy to help navigate changes in sexual health and intimate relationships during and after treatment. I support concerns such as low desire, pain with sex, menopause-related changes, difficulty with sexual health treatments (like dilators or injections), and the impact of trauma on intimacy and medical care. My approach is collaborative, gentle, and practical. I focus on building skills while also creating space for compassion, using humor when it helps lighten heavy moments. Many people feel pressure, shame, or frustration around sex—I aim to help you feel more confident, less pressured, and more connected to your body, your partner, and what matters most to you. I’m passionate about helping people create a sex life that fits their values and priorities. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, playing sports, and biking around Durham.

Before scheduling your appointment, we strongly recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the Duke Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any co-payments, co–insurances, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with Duke, your out of pocket liability may be higher. We will contact you regarding your coverage and patient liability. If you are uninsured, learn more about our financial assistance policy.
