Samantha Zarro, MS, OTR/L

I am a pediatric occupational therapist with experience supporting children and young adults from birth through age 21. My career has been dedicated entirely to pediatrics, with practice in early intervention, school-based therapy, and outpatient clinic settings. I have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses with advanced interest in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, sensory processing challenges, developmental delays/disorders, and functional vision deficits.

I hold specialized training in the Astronaut Training Protocol, Therapeutic Listening/Quick Shifts, Learning Without Tears, Size Matters Handwriting Program, DIR/Floor Time, and Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP). My approach is child-led, play-based, and creative, with a focus on providing a nurturing and engaging environment where children can grow, develop, and thrive. I am passionate about partnering with families and serving as an advocate for each child’s unique needs.

Originally from northern New Jersey, I relocated to Raleigh in 2016. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, exploring North Carolina, and spending time with my family, friends, and my dog, Sheldon.
