I have a variety of experience in the mental health field, from individual community work to working within larger systems, which is what draws me to working with children and adolescents. We are never truly alone; we are all part of a system, whether that is family, friends or our community. I believe it takes a systems approach to help manage the everyday struggles we face. I especially enjoy relational work and have experience using the Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy model through my work in intensive in-home services. I value the relational approach it emphasizes within families and the communities around them. I believe it is important for us to have a strong relationship with ourselves and learn to show ourselves the same kindness we show others. What you can expect from me is kindness, empathy and validation. I encourage my clients to find the paths that work best for them and put them in the driver’s seat of their journey. As important as this work is, it is equally important to take time for ourselves. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dog and cat, cozying up with a good book and spending time with the people who are important to me.
