I’m a maternal-fetal medicine specialist, also known as a high-risk pregnancy doctor. Pregnancy is an exciting and truly amazing process, but it can also be stressful and unpredictable. The abundance of information and opinions available can also be overwhelming. I use my knowledge and experience to provide patients with the context that can help them navigate their pregnancy. I feel privileged to share in such a life-changing experience – both the highs and the lows. Much of my work involves interpreting prenatal ultrasounds and counseling patients regarding those findings and how they may impact their child's lives. I also care for patients who have medical issues that could impact pregnancy, those who have had pregnancy complications in the past, or those who develop complications during their pregnancy. I have specialized expertise in the management of fetal anemia. I grew up in the Triangle and have witnessed the area’s growth and evolution. It’s fun to explore the abundance of new restaurants and activities with my family – and of course to cheer on my favorite college basketball team.
