About Me
I specialize in the care of patients with prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and testicular cancer. Receiving a diagnosis of cancer is a frightening and challenging time. All patients deserve a doctor who will spend the time needed to get to know them as people, provide an understanding of their diagnosis, and explain all the treatment options that are available. I entered this field because I value building trust and partnering with my patients in their care. My goal is to treat all patients as if they were my family, so you can expect that I will be crying with you, celebrating with you, and walking alongside you through all the ups and downs of your journey. Clinical Focus and Research
My research is focused on improving patient care for patients with urologic cancers, including prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer. My main interests include understanding and intervening upon racial disparities in men with prostate cancer across the cancer care continuum, as well as advancing the quality of care that we provide for our patients. As part of Duke's clinical research team, I am also interested in interventional clinical trials investigating diagnostic tests and biomarkers, emerging therapies, and patient outcomes. Lastly, I have a special interest in medical education, including curriculum development and implementation, to elevate the next generation of physicians.
