About Me
I am a nurse practitioner and Duke School of Nursing faculty member who has dedicated my career to caring for adults with complex and chronic health conditions. After more than 27 years in Duke Cardiology, where I specialized in heart failure management, I recently transitioned my clinical practice to an infusion center. I now care for patients receiving infusion therapies for gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatologic conditions, osteoporosis and other chronic illnesses requiring ongoing specialty treatment. My experience in acute care, critical care transport, ambulatory specialty clinics and advanced practice settings has shaped my holistic approach to patient care. My goal is to help patients understand their conditions and treatment options so they feel confident and informed when making decisions about their health. At Duke School of Nursing, I serve as director of a cardiology specialty program for nurse practitioners and chair of the Division of Advanced Nursing Scholarship and Practice. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, attending theater performances, traveling and following sports. These interests help me maintain balance and bring energy and perspective to the care I provide every day.

Ratings and Reviews
The ratings and reviews are based on patient responses to the overall clinician rating question from the survey. The question reads: “Using any number from 0 to 10, where 0 is the worst clinician possible and 10 is the best clinician possible, what number would you use to rate this clinician?” Responses are converted to a 5-point rating system and applied consistently to all clinicians. Learn more about our survey process. Patients who see some types of clinicians receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Those results are not available on DukeHealth.org.
