About Me
Taking care of children and their families from infancy through adolescence is an absolute joy. I became a pediatric nurse practitioner because I felt strongly that children should be treated at their developmental level and without having to experience the fear that so often accompanies a child to the health care arena. Taking that extra few minutes to make a child and family comfortable, really get to know them, and help them understand their care is very important to my practice. Pediatrics is just as much about caring for the family as it is caring for the patient. One of my favorite parts of this role is supporting parents through the vast land of growth and development, parenting struggles, and illness and injury. I look forward to working with you and your family through all the adventures that childhood has to offer.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score. Patients who see some types of providers receive a different version of the patient satisfaction survey. Clinical Focus and Research
I am particularly interested in the impact that sleep has on children throughout their stages of development. My most recent research examined the connection between sleep and the symptoms of attention deficit disorders. My goal in examining this connection is to set a standard for assessing children's sleep in primary care. My hope is that by including a more comprehensive look at sleep in our visits with children, we can prevent unnecessary medication use and improve children's physical, mental, and emotional health.
